Financial Independence

FIRE Calculator — Find Your Financial Freedom Date

FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) is simple in theory: save 25× your annual expenses and live off the returns. FinTrackrr calculates your FIRE number and tells you exactly when you can reach it.

Freedom date

Based on your current savings rate and investment growth, see the year you can stop working.

Real data, not guesses

Calculations use your actual tracked income and expenses — not estimates you type in.

How FIRE works

The 4% rule (from the Trinity Study) says you can safely withdraw 4% of your investment portfolio per year indefinitely. That means you need 25× your annual expenses saved to be financially independent.

If you spend $40,000/year, your FIRE number is $1,000,000. If you spend $60,000/year, it's $1,500,000. FinTrackrr uses your real tracked expenses to calculate this number accurately — not rough estimates.

Lean FIRE vs Fat FIRE vs Barista FIRE

Lean FIRE: retire on minimal spending (~$25k/year). Fat FIRE: retire comfortably ($100k+/year). Barista FIRE: semi-retire with part-time income covering some expenses. FinTrackrr's calculator lets you model all three scenarios.
